Om Mani Padme Hum.

Prayer flags for your well-being.

These Prayer flags are blessed with auspicious mantras that invoke positive energy. Prayer flags waving in the wind generate positive vibrations and transmit positive energy. The 5 colours of the flag represent the 5 elements: Blue for Space, White for Air, Red for Fire, Green for Water, Yellow for the Earth. Each flag carries the corresponding Tibetan script syllable for the six-syllable spiritual mantra Om Mani Padme Hum.

The flags are best placed outside homes, places where there is a gentle wind, in cars and on bikes, and places of spiritual practice, for the wind to carry forward the vibrations of the mantra.

Auṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ is the six-syllable Sanskrit mantra particularly associated with the four-armed form of Avalokiteshvara, the Compassion Buddha, the Bodhisattva of compassion. The mantra, commonly translated as "the jewel is in the lotus", is the essence of all Dharma. Each syllable represents one of the six goals of Buddhist existence and helps heal or purify and bring forth the positive qualities associated with that goal.

    • Aum = the the primordial sound of all creation represents divine energy, kindness and  generosity and dissolves the ego
    • Ma = represents ethics and dissolves jealousy and the attachment to fleeting pleasures
    • Ni = represents patience and dissolves our attachments to desire and passion while cultivating our ability to be patient with ourselves and others.
    • Pad = represents diligence and dissolves ignorance, prejudice, and judgment while cultivating the quality of perseverance
    • Me = represents concentration and dissolves our attachments to being possessive while also cultivating our powers of concentration
    • Hum = the unity of all; represents wisdom and dissolves our attachments to aggression and hatred, cultivating our own innate wisdom.
    • Together, padme means "lotus," and represents wisdom.

The mantra helps clear the mind, allowing one to detach from the ego. It helps release karmas that may be holding one back. It helps one realise the kind of life one wishes to manifest. It empties the body of everything but an awareness of the inside.

“... It is very good to recite the mantra Om mani padme hum, but while you are doing it, you should be thinking on its meaning, for the meaning of the six syllables is great and vast.

The six syllables: Om Mani Padme Hum. Thus the six syllables, om mani padme hum, mean that in dependence on the practice of a path which is an indivisible union of method and wisdom, you can transform your impure body, speech, and mind into the pure exalted body, speech, and mind of a Buddha. It is said that you should not seek for Buddhahood outside of yourself; the substances for the achievement of Buddhahood are within...”
