Unique muscatel sharpness reverberates to gradually subside with a cloying oncoming of honeysuckle only to reecho the fruity notes of plum for a complete circle of flavours.

Dry Leaf

Elegant and wiry swirls in a shade of loamy brown with many leaves holding slender pubescent golden tips hypnotise with a delicious smell of warm walnut wood and plums.

Infusion

Whole leaves and stems in an even shade of rustic brown spread open to release a rich earthy sweetness of walnut brownies sealed off by fresh and sweet herbs.

Liquor

A bright tangerine liquor elusive with the fresh sweetness of morning grass rounds up on the palette with heart notes of pulpy nectarines and a gentle floral notion of honeysuckle for a supremely succulent climax of plums.

Brewing Guide

For a perfect Cup of Tea:
1. Take 1 cup of water (200 ml).
2. Heat it to 90-95°C.
3. Put 1 teaspoon (2.5g) of tea leaves in the water.
4. Steep the leaves for 3-5 minutes.

About the Estate

A roundabout of breath-taking beauty and charm, Goomtee in Nepali translates to a turn in the road. In the Valley of Southern Kurseong at an elevation of 4800 feet above sea level, the Goomtee tea garden was started in the 1860s by a British planter called Henry Montgomery Lennox. With a 130 hectare area growing pure china bushes and some Assam hybrids, the picturesque locale is adorned by flower gardens and groves of bamboo and Pine trees. A North-facing garden with a South-eastern balance area, Goomtee is a specialist in the world renowned Darjeeling Muscatel Tea and is a much awaited celebration amongst connoisseurs.
